Quique Álvarez is the co-founder and CEO of Semantico, the AI-native PIM that helps multi-brand retailers list faster, rank higher, and sell more.
Before launching Semantico, Quique was the lead engineer behind Wallapop, one of Spain’s most successful mobile marketplaces with millions of active users and over €1 billion in annual transactions. His work helped shape the user experience and performance of one of the country’s most downloaded apps.
He also co-founded The Left Bit, a software studio known for building high-performance mobile apps for top ecommerce brands including Letgo, Naturitas, and Privalia. These experiences gave him a front-row seat to the pain ecommerce companies face when managing thousands of SKUs: slow manual updates, messy spreadsheets, inconsistent data, and SEO guesswork.
That frustration sparked the idea behind Semantico: a smarter, AI-powered solution that automates listing generation, categorization, pricing, SEO, translations, and more — so ecommerce teams can stop firefighting and start scaling. Quique brings together deep technical expertise, real-world ecommerce insight, and a product-first mindset to lead Semantico’s mission: helping online retailers launch faster, grow smarter, and stay competitive in a high-speed digital market.
