Creator Economy Consultant, Hala Al-Ajil Consulting

I use AI as a quality assurance partner, not a replacement for expertise. After 13 years inside YouTube and TikTok, I've watched countless creators adopt AI tools that produce generic, algorithm-repellent content. My approach flips this.

I built AI workflows that combine platform algorithm knowledge with creative strategy. I mainly use Claude (Cowork for document creation and Code for technical builds), Descript for video editing, and other tools depending on client needs. For clients, I use Claude to stress-test content ideas against YouTube's recommendation system before production, saving weeks of failed experiments. I'll run creator hooks through it to identify weak positioning, then rebuild them using actual platform mechanics, not guesswork.

For my own content, I've used AI to visualise platform concepts that are hard to explain in text, making the invisible visible. My AI experimentation posts consistently hit 15-20K impressions because the AI wasn't doing the thinking, it was amplifying insights only a platform insider could provide.

The difference between AI that works and AI that fails is specificity. Generic prompts produce generic content. I train clients to feed AI their platform data, audience behaviour patterns, and competitor positioning, then use the output as a starting point for human refinement. Creative intelligence means knowing when AI accelerates your expertise and when it dilutes it.
