Technology decisions when transitioning from a start up to a listed enterprise: case study

29 Sep 2022
Intelligent Delivery & Fulfilment

As Made has transitioned from a start up to a listed enterprise the requirements for the customer order management and supply chain management systems have changed significantly. This is how Made transitioned from legacy systems to an agile enterprise architecture to meet existing requirements while maintaining the flexibility to refactor for future needs; all while supporting existing capability and growth through the changes. We will look at the business and architectural decisions with how the data model and system scope is key to building a solution that can grow with the business. Using the re-platforming on Made’s procurement and purchase order management as an example we will discuss how the phasing of rolling out a completely new model in multiple phases across systems and business users was managed.
